As a Clinical Psychologist I have been dedicated to providing services for the NHS in various capacities since 2004. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working in GP surgeries, hospitals, community settings, adult mental health teams, and forensic hospitals. This has allowed me to engage in therapeutic work with individuals of all ages who have faced an array of challenges.
In addition to my NHS experience, I have also held research positions at the esteemed University of Birmingham. I have had the opportunity to contribute as a clinical researcher and trainer in the private sector. Over the years, I have had the honor of supervising trainee Clinical, Forensic, and Counselling Psychologists, as well as delivering impactful training for the Aston University Undergraduate psychology course.
My journey into the field of hyperbaric oxygen therapy was deeply influenced by my own lived experience of the treatment. Through the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact it had on my young son, who is autistic. This personal encounter ignited a passion within me to further research this treatment and advocate for increased accessibility to those who could benefit from it. Since then I have trained with the International Board of Undersea Medicine as a technician and have teamed up with Oxygens as a clinical researcher.
