Flexible mild hyperbaric systems operating at pressures up to approximately 1.5 ATA. Available in seated, lie-down and wheelchair-accessible formats.

  • Compact and comfortable
  • Suitable for many home settings
  • Lower space and installation requirements

Hard-Shell Chambers

Solid steel chambers designed for a permanent, premium installation and operation at pressures up to 2.0 ATA.

  • Rigid steel construction
  • Integrated controls and monitoring
  • Designed for frequent long-term use

Home and Commercial Applications

Home Hyperbaric Chambers

Designed for private wellbeing routines, healthy ageing, active lifestyles and exercise recovery, with installation and household training included.

Safety & Compliance

Engineered with Safety at Every Stage

Safety is fundamental to every Oxygens chamber. From UKCA compliant electrical systems and independently pressure-tested components through to ongoing inspection and servicing, our chambers are designed to meet recognised UK safety requirements and provide long-term confidence for home and professional users alike.

Pressure Equipment

Our chambers are independently pressure tested above their normal operating pressure to verify structural integrity. Chambers operating above the relevant Pressure Equipment Regulations (PED/PER) thresholds are assessed accordingly before being placed into service.

UKCA Compliance

Electrical equipment supplied with our systems is UKCA compliant where required, helping ensure conformity with applicable UK electrical safety and EMC legislation.

PSSR Guidance

For business installations, we can advise where the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR 2000) may apply. Requirements depend on the system configuration and operating environment rather than simply the chamber itself.

Written Scheme of Examination

Where required for commercial operation, we can provide a Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) prepared by a competent person to support ongoing inspection and compliance throughout the life of the equipment.

Our commitment: Safety doesn't end at manufacture. Every Oxygens chamber is backed by UK-based servicing, technical support and ongoing maintenance to help keep your equipment operating safely for years to come.

Real Engineering. Real Expertise.

Some companies simply import equipment and sell it. At Oxygens, we design, manufacture, test, install, service and support our chambers ourselves. Every recommendation and repair is backed by genuine engineering knowledge and hands-on experience—not just a product brochure.

Expert Answers

Hyperbaric Chamber Safety & Manufacturing FAQs

Clear answers about UK manufacturing, chamber safety, compliance, servicing and long-term technical support.

Are Oxygens hyperbaric chambers manufactured in the UK?

Yes. Oxygens designs, manufactures, assembles and tests its chambers through its UK operation. This allows our team to provide direct engineering knowledge, installation, servicing, repairs and ongoing technical support. Learn more about Oxygens.

What is the difference between a chamber manufacturer and an importer?

An importer generally purchases completed equipment from an overseas manufacturer for resale. Oxygens works directly across chamber design, manufacture, testing, installation and aftercare, so our advice is supported by practical engineering knowledge rather than product literature alone. Meet our UK hyperbaric specialists .

What safety features should a hyperbaric chamber have?

Appropriate safety provisions depend on the chamber type and operating pressure. Our chambers include pressure-relief systems, emergency depressurisation, suitable pressure-rated components, controlled operating limits, electrical conformity, user training and planned inspection and maintenance. What do PED and the Pressure Equipment Regulations mean?

PED commonly refers to the EU Pressure Equipment Directive. In Great Britain, pressure equipment placed on the market may instead be subject to the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, depending on its design, pressure, volume and classification. The precise requirements must be assessed for the individual system rather than assumed from the term “hyperbaric chamber” alone.

What does UKCA mean for a hyperbaric chamber system?

UKCA marking indicates conformity with applicable Great Britain product legislation for products and components within its scope. A hyperbaric system may contain several items subject to different requirements, so UKCA should not be treated as a single blanket approval for every aspect of a complete installation.

Do the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 apply to every chamber?

Not automatically. Whether PSSR applies depends on the pressure system, its contents, configuration, installation and use. Businesses should obtain competent advice based on their specific equipment and remain responsible for meeting their legal, insurance and workplace obligations.

What is a Written Scheme of Examination?

A Written Scheme of Examination, or WSE, is an engineering document identifying the pressure-retaining parts that require examination, the inspection methods, examination intervals and any special requirements. It supports a structured inspection programme where PSSR applies. Read our full Written Scheme of Examination guide .

Is a Written Scheme of Examination included with an Oxygens chamber?

A professionally prepared WSE is included with qualifying Oxygens Winslet 2.0 ATA business purchases. The document is prepared for the relevant pressure vessel and independently reviewed and signed off. Contact us to confirm whether your proposed installation qualifies.

Are pressure testing and a WSE the same thing?

No. A pressure test assesses how a vessel performs at a specified test pressure at that time. A WSE defines which parts of the pressure system must be examined, how they should be examined and how frequently those examinations should take place throughout its operational life.

Does Oxygens provide installation, servicing and repairs?

Yes. Our support extends beyond the initial sale and can include site planning, installation, operational guidance, servicing, fault diagnostics, repairs and long-term technical support. We can also assess selected third-party chambers where appropriate. View our hyperbaric chamber servicing .

Do you provide hyperbaric chamber training?

Yes. Oxygens provides user guidance and specialist training designed to help owners and operators understand chamber operation, safety procedures and responsible day-to-day use. Explore our CPD certified hyperbaric training course .

Can I speak to an engineer before purchasing?

Yes. Our team can discuss your intended use, available space, access, electrical requirements, installation considerations and ongoing support before you place an order. Contact Oxygens to discuss your project.
